We’re empty nesters with a picnic basket in the trunk and a growing list of places to explore—across Kentucky and around the world.

Jeff is Kentucky native —an art teacher and thoughtful observer who finds beauty in paintings, architecture, sculpture, and design. Shareen is a Malaysian Indian from Kuala Lumpur—impulsive, big-hearted, and always ready to leap first and figure it out later.

Together, we bring two cultures, two personalities, and one deep commitment—to our faith, to each other, and to meaningful adventures. We love discovering the beauty in both everyday places and faraway destinations. And as of 2025, we’re on a mission to visit all 120 counties in Kentucky—while still making room for out-of-state and international getaways.

Wherever we go, we chase local flavors, dig into the historical context of the places we visit, meet fascinating people, and listen to the stories that shape communities. Sometimes it’s just the two of us. Sometimes we bring along fellow empty nester friends. A lot of times, we even include our son, Andrew!

We believe the empty nest isn’t the end of something—it’s the beginning of a beautiful, open-ended chapter.
